There has been a network issue with one of our providers which has affected both the websites and support system and uk2-pn streaming server. The problem seems to have been resolved now and we are going to get a full explanation from the datacentre.
This seems to have been a major outage that affected several datacentres and many hosting and streaming businesses will have been affected.
We are currently experieincing packet loss on the above servers, this is being looked into and will be resovled shortly.
There was some downtime earlier on one of the autodj servers. The power supply has been replaced and it is back up. Please make any sla requests before 7th jan.
After some short downtime, the power supply was found to be faulty. This has been replaced
USA2 Value network has gone down due to a hard drive failure. The hard drive is going to be replaced and the server reinstalled.
We are hoping to recover the data and get the server back online as soon as possible.
We’re having issues getting the server back online but are working on getting it back as soon as we can.
There are very few customers on this server so the recent problems haven’t affected many.
The hard drive and RAM had been replaced twice and still the crashing continued, so we have set up a brand new server which is up and running now. This should be the last we hear of the problems with usa2 vn.
A customer on the server seems to have been hosting a script that was severely overloading the CPU. The offending file has been removed.
This doesn’t seem to have affected user websites very much but we do take steps to remove any files that use up unfair resources.
It seems like the subnet that one of our servers is on (USA1-PN) has been blocked from listing on the Shoutcast YP. This does not affect your stream but we will be getting in touch with Shoutcast to get the network unblocked.
This may or may not be a result of a customer on the server breaking the YP rules and this will be investigated, any customer breaking YP rules will be contacted. As Shoutcast bans the whole subnet, it could be a result of someone using a different host using the same datacentre as we use and is therefore beyond our control, but we will try to get everyone unblocked.
Google Checkout has been disabled due to unreliability – it seems that their callback system hardly ever works, so the billing system isn’t being notified of payments.
If you would like to pay using GC then plase open a ticket with billing.
We are currently cleaning up the servers from USA1-VN – USA4-VN and UK1-VN. This is because there are a lot of old accounts that are still active as well as servers belonging to resellers that are not paid up to date.
This will free up resources on the servers to ensure a more stable stream and better reliability.
There is a small chance that legitimate accounts will be deleted, particularly if you have an older account where you log in with a username rather than your email address. If this happens then please open a support ticket and we will restore your account.
Full backups have been taken before any accounts are deleted so no data will be lost.
