Flash players launched

I am happy to announce that we have launched our new Flash player which is FREE for all customers using our Shoutcast services. This enables 99% of Internet users to tune in to

your stream without the need to download and install any additional software.

This has been activated on all servers, but only the premium network control panel has been updated with the links.

If you are on the premium network, then you can get your Flash link by logging in and going to ‘Shoutcast servers > Stream links & statistics’.

Value network (and premium) customers can still access their Flash stream by using the following format:
http://mixstream.net/stream-flash/[[SERVER]]:[[PORT]]

Where [[SERVER]] is the server name (not IP), for example usa1-vn or uk3-vn (don’t include .mixstream.net) and change [[PORT]] to your port number 9see the example below).

This is a new feature and is still being tested, so if you experience any problems then please open a support ticket with as much detail as possible about the problem you are having.

Planned: We will be offering a way to embed the Flash code onto your own web pages in the next week or so, this will not be announced by email so keep checking the ‘HTML/PHP

Scripts’ area in the control panel or check the forum announcements.

Limitations: Flash doesn’t work with AAC+ or NSV.
